WOODY HUDSON
Woody Hudson’s hockey career is a testament to perseverance, skill, and dedication. From his early days in youth hockey to competing at the professional level, Hudson has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a relentless drive to improve.
Hudson began his hockey journey playing for the Rochester Alliance 16U AAA before advancing to high school hockey at McQuaid Jesuit High and later Milton Academy, a prestigious prep school program. During his two seasons at Milton, he emerged as a key offensive contributor, recording 34 points in 29 games during his senior year.
His performance earned him a spot in the United States Hockey League (USHL), where he played two seasons with the Indiana Ice and Chicago Steel. As a physical presence with scoring ability, he posted 20 points in 35 games with Indiana before finishing his USHL career in Chicago.
Following his junior hockey success, Hudson moved on to NCAA Division I hockey with St. Lawrence University in the ECAC. In his freshman and sophomore years, he provided depth scoring, recording 11 and 12 points, respectively. Though his role shifted in his final two seasons, he remained a key presence on ice and continued developing his game.
After college, Hudson transitioned to the ECHL, signing with the Indy Fuel before moving to the Worcester Railers in their inaugural season. He made an immediate impact, scoring 19 goals and 29 points in 67 games, and was invited to the ECHL All-Star Classic, solidifying his reputation as a hardworking power forward. He continued his professional career with additional stints in Worcester and Indy, bringing a mix of physicality, goal-scoring ability, and leadership.
Now, as he transitions into the next phase of his hockey career, Hudson is excited to join the Salt City Kings as 14U head coach. With his extensive playing experience and deep understanding of the game, he is eager to help develop the next generation of players, instilling the same work ethic and passion that defined his own career.
Hudson’s career has been defined by his relentless work ethic and willingness to adapt to different roles. Whether contributing offensively, bringing a physical edge, providing veteran leadership, or now guiding young players as a coach, he has consistently found ways to make an impact at every level.
