TRAVIS HYDE
Travis Hyde brings a dynamic blend of coaching experience, player development expertise, and hockey operations leadership to the Salt City Kings organization. As our Director of Hockey Operations, Travis oversees the structure and execution of our development programs, competitive calendar, and coach mentorship—ensuring that every aspect of the Kings experience supports player growth and success.
In addition to his role with the Kings, Travis is the Head Coach and General Manager of the SUNY Oswego ACHA Division I men’s hockey team, where he has led the Lakers to sustained success and multiple postseason appearances against the nation’s top club programs. His deep understanding of systems play, team building, and athlete development at the collegiate level enriches the competitive edge he brings to our elite youth program.
Travis’s coaching journey includes experience at AAA, junior, and collegiate levels, and he’s known for his commitment to developing the whole player—on the ice, in the classroom, and in life. His strategic approach to coaching, paired with a focus on fundamentals, leadership, and accountability, makes him a trusted mentor for young athletes navigating the path toward higher-level hockey.
